Kasaa Casual Filipino Cuisine is a great private dining spot

I get a real kick out of private dining. It’s great being in a gorgeous space and eating a carefully curated meal with a small group of super select people in your life 😀 That’s why I found my mother’s birthday lunch at Kasaa Casual Filipino Cuisine a lovely experience.

Kasaa is located in Don Antonio Heights, Brgy. Holy Spirit and is the creation of Chef Andrew Fua. The restaurant is located in their ancestral home and is basically a family operation with the goal of serving contemporary Filipino food in an intimate setting.

What we ate:

  • Lumpiang tortang talong
  • Laksa ceviche
  • Kamote croquettes
  • Longganisa birria taco
  • Roast pork belly
  • Gising-gising
  • Prawn laing
  • Brisket salpicao
  • Banana turon

The appetizers were dainty but so flavorful and satisfying, and overall, the dishes were thoughtfully prepared and tasty. The experience truly felt like you were enjoying a lavish meal in your own home, and Chef Andrew made it a point to tell us the story of Kasaa and of every dish they serve. I highly recommend the place, most especially if you’re celebrating a special occasion, but hey, it’s also a great idea if you just want to treat yourself and a loved one for no reason other than the need to enjoy a truly delightful meal.
