The news that former president Noynoy Aquino has died came as a surprise to many, I think, because not many of us knew that he was terribly ill. I didn’t vote for him in 2010, but I came to respect his achievements and how laser-focused he was on his job.
My mother and I decided to pass by Times Street in West Triangle to see if there was anything going on by way of a memorial, and this is what we found.
We stopped at Thistle and Blooms along Examiner Street to buy flowers for President Aquino’s memorial, only to be told that most of their flowers and bouquets were sold out. I did manage to get a single sunflower for him.
Rest in peace, President Aquino, and thank you.
