Here’s how Commonwealth Avenue looked before the inevitable MRT takeover

The construction of MRT 7 is well underway along Commonwealth Avenue, and trees in the center island have already been torn down. A small portion that still contains trees remains, but not for long, we expect.

This picture was taken with a dashcam near the Commission on Audit on June 26, 2017, and we don’t expect these trees to still be there by the end of the year. It’s a good way to look back and see what Commonwealth Avenue was like before the MRT 7 was completed, but we kind of regret not having taken tons more pictures of the highway.
