I’m glad that over the decades, the public’s attitude toward pets and animals in general has changed so much. I’m not saying that the Philippines as a whole has become one large safe space for animals. But people are a lot more concerned about animal welfare and a lot more welcoming toward animals in public spaces. It’s also nice that some commercial establishments have their own community cats. This cat at Vertis North has a scarf around its neck that warns people that it’s easily startled. I genuinely love the attention to the mall cats’ personalities and temperaments.
